In this video, you get to experience traditional cooking in typical Ghanaian way. I share with you a very traditional popular recipe which originates from the northern part of Ghana. We will be cooking outside as this is how a typical Ghanaian home will cook. It was nicer because there was lots of fresh air and you feel like you are right here with me in my Ghana home.

Spice blend:
Rose mary
Grains of selim
Cloves
Black pepper
Aniseed (we use a little onion to make blending easy)

TZ recipe:
2 handfuls on cassava flour
3 handfuls of corn flour
Water was about 5cups

Ayoyo:
Jute leaves 4 cups
Water 1 1/2 cups
Shrimp and fish powder a tablespoon each
Half of a shrimp stock cube

Stew:
2 large onion
Palm oil
Salted fish
2 heaped tablespoons of ginger and garlic blended together (1cup of ginger to half cup of garlic)
8 medium tomatoes
Spice blend
Salt and chilli to taste
Beef or any meat of choice
Meat seasoning
